Our name Generational Aquatics is a great description of what we are. Our love of breeding animals has spanned 3 generations and hopefully a 4th. Part of that 4 generations is 3 Bryans. Bryan SR, Bryan JR, and Bryan The 3rd. It all started with my grandpa raising and breeding a wide variety of farm animals from chickens to goats and sheep to cows.
This love of breeding animals expanded past farm animals into breeding show pigeons. My grandpa introducing my dad to pigeons is what really sparked my dad’s interest in genetics and the improvement of animals.
My interest in breeding animals really grew from going to pigeon shows with my dad and grandpa. It’s really hard to have pets in our family because we always want to breed them and improve them for us and others.
My love of fish and what really started our whole family into the fish hobby was when my uncle had a huge 200 gallon fish tank with tons of cichlids in it. He offered me a breeding pair from his tank if I got a tank big enough for them.
I shortly later got myself a 55 gallon tank and even though I didn’t get that pair of fish I did get myself some Malawi cichlids and my addiction to fish began.
I have bred everything from guppies to many types of cichlids to rare plecos that have been sold across the USA.
We have also supplied fish to several local fish shops and now mainly supply to a great specialty shop that focuses on rare and hard to find fish. The Waterfront https://www.thewaterfrontslc.com/ is where I get many of my fish for my breeding programs.
This love of fish eventually rubbed off on my dad and he started breeding guppies for shows. His interest has grown and now has many angelfish, plecos (L201, L333, Longfin green dragon bristlenose plecos, long fin L144 bristlenose plecos, and Longfin super red bristlenose plecos), green laser corys, and japanese rice fish.
Our hopes are to not only bring great information on fish but supply beautiful heathy fish so many others can enjoy fish just like us.
